About

Counselling, coaching and spiritual exploration all provide a safe space for you to use, as you need, to gain insight and perspective into your situation within a relationship of equality, respect and trust.

I consider each person to be unique, valuable and who responds in an individual way to life events and concerns. As such, there are many ways to seek, to learn, to heal and to grow; or to simply ‘be’. I enjoy working with people from a variety of social, cultural, ethnic, and other backgrounds.

I actively listen with acceptance, patience, and attentiveness as you consider your thoughts, feelings, and circumstances. Together we can explore what you want, in the way which enables you to make empowered decisions towards enhancing your sense of wellbeing and fulfilment. I hold respect for difference as a core value.

My approach is one of ‘there can be a way where there seems to be no way’. This not always easy and I will seek to support you through to a peaceful place.

As a graduate counsellor and a senior practitioner mentor/coach, my training has included trauma, bereavement - including sudden and complex loss, children and young people, aspects of mental health as well as dissociation, internal family systems; compassionate enquiry, mentoring and coaching, solution-focussed therapy, motivational interviewing, ethics, spiritual formation and direction.

I have experience of working with a variety of age ranges (14-85+) and issues, including anxiety and depression, personality disorders, addictions, suicidal tendencies, marriage and family issues, male and female domestic abuse, sexuality, bereavement (including sudden death), work-related and academic difficulties, and health issues – including chronic pain, and life limiting illness.

I offer – short-term (1–12 sessions), or long-term counselling. I seek to individually tailor sessions, their duration and term to best support you, the client and your concerns.

Using a variety of therapeutic methods together, I offer those that best match your needs. From an initial appointment together with you I will explore and agree the best way forward.

I mainly use person-centred, trauma informed, compassionate enquiry. And offer conflict resolution through non-violent communication techniques, as well as CBT, IFS and spiritual understanding and tools.

I offer Face-to-face, telephone, and online sessions and walking talking therapy.
In each environment I follow confidential practices.
